While diesel engines are mechanically similar to gasoline engines, they do have key different characteristics as well as different emissions standards. This self-paced class will teach you the ins and outs of the diesel engine, mechanical systems, and emissions control systems to help ensure the proper health of every vehicle that comes into your shop. Additionally, the class covers preventative maintenance and provides you with a variety of preventative maintenance sheets. This class teaches these concepts with text, images, diagrams, animations, and quizzes. After you finish all the labs and quizzes and score a 70% or higher on your first try, you’ll receive a certificate of completion.
