Cummins Filtration Training for Free

Cummins Filtration Training is now free through a series of live webinars over the next several weeks. As an industry leader established in 1958 as Fleetguard, Cummins Filtration has become a global industry leader in filtration and coolants

Cummins Filtration Training is done both through on-demand web-based training and live webinars. Current live Cummins Filtration training classes being offered are outlined below. Courses are one hour each, and you can attend either the 9 AM or 11 AM EST each day.

  • Selecting Engine Coolants – October 15
  • Engine Coolant Maintenance - October 22
  • Air Filtration - October 29
  • Lube Filtration - November 5
  • Fuel Filtration - November 19

Cummins also offers free online training via their FleetSchool website. These are on-demand courses you can view for free at your leisure. These courses are as follows:

Air Filtration

Learn the importance of air filtration on an engine, identify solutions suitable for various operating environments, explain the purpose behind using a secondary air filter element and pre-cleaners and provide general best practices for air filter maintenance.

Basics of Filtration & Filter Media

Explore the need for engine filtration, highlight the various factors that influence filter designs, and compare the different types of filter media used in today's filtration technology.

Cooling System Basic I & II

Learn how coolant works, explain what ingredients make up a coolant, outline coolant types, clarify what to avoid when selecting a coolant, and highlight Fleetguard coolant solutions. Part II explains the purpose of water or coolant filters, detail the types of Fleetguard coolant maintenance test strips, and highlight Fleetguard cooling system cleaning products.

Fuel Filtration I & II

Learn the problem of dirty diesel fuel and explain how High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel injection works. You will learn the negative effects that can occur to a diesel engine as a result of insufficient fuel filtration.

Lube Filtration

Learn the function and classification of engine oils, as well as look at the evolution of oil filtration that led to the different types of lube filter technologies used on diesel engines today.
